MASSACHUSETTS HEALTH WORKERS IMPLORE SENATOR BROWN TO SUPPORT FEDERAL RELIEF FUNDING MEASURE

"A failure by Senator Scott Brown to vote in favor of federal funds to support Massachusetts  families would be disastrous for the health and safety of our communities and to our state's economic recovery.  Without this federal relief funding, Massachusetts residents will suffer.  Patients will lose access to the preventative care they need, seniors and people with disabilities will lose access to home care services and nursing home care will suffer.  We hope that a closer look at the real world consequences of voting against the health and safety of his own constituents and our state's economic recovery will help Senator Brown reconsider his previously stated position." - VERONICA TURNER, 1199SEIU EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT
