iSpeak: Obama's First 100 Days In Office
I believe that our president Obama is doing a great job for the USA as of his first 100 days. He walked into the White House with lots of work on his deck in now we need to let him do what he needs to do to help the USA.

| I worked with the Obama Campaign in Missouri. I am a retired 1199 member who moved from NYC to MO. I am very proud of what Obama has achieved in the 100 days as president of the USA. I went to see Obama, Michelle and their children in Springfield, MO.

| The President and his administration did very well in spite of what they inherited. His work on the economy was good, his work overseas was great, and the Summit of the Americas was very, very good. Now he needs to tackle health care, continue to try to provide more jobs, and there are lots of things going on with foreclosures that need to stop.
Sheila Lewis, Retired nuse Sunrise, FL | He must work toward a National Health Insurance Bill. I am a veteran but the nearest VA hospital is 75 miles from my home. There is a VA clinic nearby but they only screen you for problems and then send you to Syracuse for treatment. In emergencies, I must go to a local ER. The VA will not pay for this. It is hard for me to travel. There should be a one payer system for everyone in this country. The money paid to insurance companies, who are in the business of finding ways NOT to pay you, is a national disgrace. 1199 has a wonderful plan. Unfortunately I am outside the programs service area. I have supplemental Medicare insurance but it is limited and I still find myself with large out of pocket expenses. P.S. I was at Mt. Sinai Hospital when the Guild was formed there. I was raised a Union man by my father, grandfather and uncles who more than once faced the wrath of the mine owners in the Pennsylvania coal fields. Keep up the good fight.

| Some people are Obama groupies. I am not. However, I voted for him and support him. I proud of my vote and amazed every day at how smart this man is. And that is not simply a comparison to the idiot who came before him.
President Obama never lets you forget that he could be your neighbor (a very smart neighbor) and that he is completely aware of what average people want. Some on the left are complaining that his efforts have not been far enough to the left. Let me remind everyone what candidate Obama told us: that he needs a grassroots movement pushing and demanding for him to do what he wants to do. Stop complaining and keep organizing. It is not about getting one man elected. He knows that, so should we.

| I think President Obama is doing quite well considering the challenges put before him. I believe that he will make mistakes, as did his predecessors. With our continued support, he will slowly emerge victorious in his endeavors.
